Balance the Sacral Chakra with Color

Although the primary color of the sacral chakra is orange, sometimes the sacral chakra may require other colors for balance. Focus on the sacral chakra and clear it with any color that comes to mind.  Whatever color you see in your mind's eye, visualize that color flowing into the sacral chakra.

Balance the Sacral Chakra with Sound

Choose a comfortable spot where you will be undisturbed for ten to fifteen minutes.  You can play some classical music, relaxing nature sounds, or special brainwave audio tracks to help you relax.  A great sound to listen to while meditating to balance the sacral chakra energies is Tibetan Bowls. The sound of the D note resonates with the energy of the sacral chakra and is used to balance and heal the sacral chakra.

Balance the Sacral Chakra with Meditation

Focus your attention on the sacral chakra and really feel the energy flowing into the sacral chakra.  Visualize the first color that comes to mind, whatever it may be.  The sacral chakra most likely requires this color to maintain balance and to heal.  Visualize this color as light flowing into the sacral chakra.  Every color has a different vibration, and the sacral chakra may require certain frequencies to balance itself.

Personality of The Sacral Chakra

Many people tend toward excess in all areas of their lives, and the sacral chakra is no exception.  Of course, there are those who tend toward deficit, or lack however, when it comes to the sacral chakra and what it represents, I believe that most people have an overabundance of sacral chakra energy, especially in our sexed-up society.  An overactive sacral chakra can sometimes express itself as an abundance of creativity rather than sexual tension.  The bright orange stones, like the vibrant carnelian or the soft, yet enlivening color of amber are used to stimulate and energize a sluggish sacral chakra.  The darker crystals like the burnt-orange aragonite are used to subdue an overactive sacral chakra.

An overabundance of sacral energy usually expresses itself as a fast-paced, sexual personality.  Too much energy here can cause a great deal of tension which may be more of a mental tension, or a physical tension of muscles.  Sex serves as an outlet for this extreme tension and those who do not have a partner usually resort to masturbation.

This pent up energy can also be released as creativity, like painting, sculpting, drawing, writing, or some other art such as nature photography.  These creative people use their art as a way to vent their tension.  If this energy is not used, either through art or sex, it will manifest itself as tension and loquacity.  Art can be used as a way to initiate healing rather than just relieving tension.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is a feeling of sluggishness.  Here we have people with conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome.  Those with deficient sacral chakra energy usually have a weak sex drive, if they have a sex drive at all.  Creativity is often lacking and fitting in is the major goal.  Standing out requires creativity and energy which is lacking in this personality.
